Manager/Supervisor

ABH is looking for a talented and highly motivated individual for our Rehab Specialist position in our Greenbelt, MD office.

ABH is a family centered mental health program that offers a wraparound approach to treatment. We specialize in Psychiatry, Off-Site Counseling Services, On-Site therapy, and Therapeutic Mentoring. Hours: 40 hours/week
FSLA Status: Exempt

Essential Functions
Clinical:

  • Provide supervision and training to all assigned therapeutic mentors.
  • Assign caseloads and related duties, coordinate activities of staff in providing services to individuals and families.
  • Facilitate ongoing clinical collaboration with GMY Site Directors, OCS Site Directors, Clinical Supervisors and prescribers to ensure continuum of care for mutual clients.
  • Facilitate monthly team meetings.
  • Facilitate monthly group supervision with therapeutic mentors.
  • Schedule staff consultation for difficult cases with Program Director and Assistant Program Director, as needed.

 

Administrative:

  • Oversee day-to-day GMY site operations for all onsite and offsite staff to include safe and effective staff workflows, efficient and timely assignment of cases, referral tracking, and acquiring timely authorizations.
  • Develop a proficient knowledge of Medicaid rules.
  • Develop a working and proficient knowledge of ABH billing and compensation.
  • Meet one-on-one with Program Director weekly to discuss progress, and advise on program efficacy, program management, improving practices and policies.
  • Participate in the monthly site director meeting.
  • Oversee, train, develop, and retain all assigned staff to include performance management to include establishing standards of performance, developing priorities and setting goals.
  • Assume fiscal responsibility of assigned site budget to include recording all company related transactions, turning in all invoices and receipts.
  • Serve as an EMR super user to assist staff with any issues.
  • Respond to communication (phone, email, text) from clients and families, referral sources, and ABH staff within 24 hours or the next business day.
  • Identify, build and maintain appropriate relationships with community partners to increase new business and referrals.
  • Oversee the referral process. Screen, prioritize and assign within 10 days.
  • Comply with CARF/COMAR/HIPPA/State compliance regulations
  • Ensure staff compliance with EMR and uphold the 48-hour documentation standard.
  • Ensure all treatment plans are up to date and signed by all parties within a week.
  • Ensure staff compliance with all ABH mandated training.
  • Acknowledge internal and external complaints within 24 hours.

 

Qualifications & Work Experience

  • Masters degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or similar degree.
  • Licensed in the State of Maryland as one of the following: LMSW, LGPC, LCPC, LCSW-C preferred, not required.  CPRP preferred, but required if not Licensed. 
  • Three (3) years of experience in social work/counseling-related field.
  • At least three (3) years of progressive management and supervisory experience in a healthcare of medical setting required.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
  • Excellent working knowledge of COMAR standards.
  • Proficient in MS Office with intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to lead, manage, and delegate at multiple staff levels.
  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with management.
  • Ability to be proactive and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have the ability to travel up to 30%.
